Who We Are
The Buffalo World Trade Association (BWTA) is a networking group with a focus on International business. We strive to help our members form connections, share ideas and increase their knowledge of topics related to selling their products and services internationally. Our members represent many different industries including manufacturers, academics, consultants, freight forwarders, attorneys and various experience levels from college students to seasoned, veteran world travelers. The BWTA holds 7 meetings throughout Western New York on the 3rd Thursday of September, October, November, January, February, March, April. Each event features a cocktail hour followed by speaker presentation and dinner. Each year we award a $1,000 Scholarship to a college students studying international business. The Board of Directors and Officers are all volunteer and there are no paid employees. We were founded in 1921 and are a 501(C) not for profit organization.

We can help by directing you to the proper entity to get your questions answered. Help is but a phone call away. We have representation from the Department of Commerce, freight brokers, banking industry, as well as local companies like you who are involved in international trade.
